Pockets B became the first 2nd division team ever to win the Vic Harris league cup final Fabulous achievement. Well done Captain Martin Slatford for creating this amazing team
I would like to add a special big up up the Captain Martin Slatford. Who in my opinion is the best captain of a snooker team any one could ask for. He manages to keep a large number of regular team players very happy and enthusiastic with very little problems. He is fantastic at picking the correct player each week to get their best performance at the right times. Creating the amazing results he has achieved over 12 years. Whilst keeping a very strong team moral. This is a special gift to have. Martin also took over our Monday team in the 2nd division Vic Harris mid season as it was looking like folding and managed to turn it all around, build up great team spirit. Bring in new players and achieve 2nd in the very good standard Vic Harris league. Pockets are very lucky to have him at Pockets. Although Martin has grabbed the glory as a Pockets captain this year and truly deserved. I would like to thank all our Captains of our league team for keeping Competition Snooker, Darts and Pool alive. It is a very hard job and we really appreciate you all for representing pockets.
